Addison Capuano Preliminary

So here I am, after like, five bajillion years, getting around to uploading all these pictures that I have floating around in my picture queue getting old and dusty. I totally blame The Office for my slacking. *has had her face glued to the television* Yes. Totally The Office's fault. Not because I'm lame.

Anyway. I thought I would just post this one, because obviously I'm never going to get around to using this particular drawing to introduce this particular character. Yes, this picture has been sitting in my picture queue since 2008, and believe me it's not the only one. This was going to be a "OH LOOKIT ITS A NEW CHARACTER!" picture for a character named Addison Capuano, who is actually an old character THAT HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAAAAVVVVVEEEEEE. *gets all spooky* *(which really isn't all that hard, to be honest.) * He was created a long long time ago, and then he just kinda...vanished, but that I was all like, hmmm... I liked that character! So I thought I'd revamp him and throw him into my group of characters. He's not necessarily supposed to be a main character, but he's more of a "friend of a friend" type of character, meaning that he comes around usually only when I am dealing with a particular character/characters. Now, because he is one of Melanies best friends, he basically comes around during stories that center around her and her daily dealings, and ultimately he's a friend of her gal pals as well too. He's also somewhat of a love interest for her...however...her...Well, you see, he's actually gay, so...

I guess she's gonna have to go out with Mac still.

*Melanie rips out my ovaries and roundhouse kicks them to oblivion*

Anyway, this is the first drawing I did of him to revamp his character. Honestly, nothing changed other then a few tweeks here and there. I pretty much kept the same design, same hair colour and pretty much everything. I liked his design I vaguely remember basing Addison's design on that blonde guy from Queer as Folk whose name escapes me right now. I actually think he kinda looks like that one guy from Soul Decision.

Whose name also escapes me right now.

Anyway. For some deets, as mentioned he's one of Melanie's best friends who is usually stuck listening to all of her love woes and giving her advice that she probably doesn't take (doesn't it always seem that way?), and he's a local celebrity of sorts, as he's a radio DJ, and well, a DJ in general so he like goes to clubs and stuff and parties it up.

So anyway. As you can see, this is an old drawing, done in 2008 altho I do still like it... It's not bad, its just this isn't the one that I wanna use anymore to introduce the character. Mostly because it's too old, and I'm one of those anal people (thats what she said. XD) who have to have thier character introduction pictures a certain way. While I like this one, it sorta scanned all...like spotty or something, and the hand to you left looks really messed up, but then again the other one does too, so...Yeah. Both hands look messed up, which I completely blame on my inking.

And of course, the usual things that I needed to work on back in 2008 like the thicker lines and the clothing folds. LOL gotta love old artwork. I just love his floppy little ears! D'awww! So yes. We'll meet him much better later on, once I get a better drawing of him down.

I love friend of a friend characters. They give me even more excuses to create a bajillion characters. Tee hee! Mwah hah!

So anyway, just a...well I guess a preliminary drawing of the reinvented Addison Capuano! Everyone dance with him!
