Allah Gave Me The Beat

So there I was at work the other day, and I had this thing, where I wanted to draw detail.

See this doesn't happen all that often, but I thought I would actaully spend a good portion of time on a drawing...

So then this came about Yes, it's pretty boring, yes, it really isn't that exciting, but it's Jalil, and I heart him so... I chose him for detail because of his hair and things! Here he is just holding an iPod because, you know, for some reason I'm having an iPod fetish, and listening to music I chose him for detail because of his hair and because of his jewelery and such I thought he would be a good victim

He's Muslim, so I thought giving him that cool necklace would be a good idea! I knew someone with a necklace like that, so I thought I would use that for inspiration I love love love his shirt XD He probably has like a ton of those white shirt thingies... The background happens to be a personal favourite as I love all the bright colours It adds something to the picture.. I don't know what, but it does...

I have a few problems with this drawing... Really just the shoulder area - I know it looks kinda wonky, but I drew his body and things and I liked how his body came out so I didn't have the heart to change anything. He's supposed to be really tall, skinny and lanky, so... well okay, not like super scrawny paper thin, but he's supposed to be like..um..I really have no idea how to put this, but.. I guess long, maybe?

(AND YES I KNOW YOU ALL TOOK THAT THE WRONG WAY.)

Anyway, I really like this one... But of course, the scan turned out CRAP even tho I kept it under like five or six heavy books for around three days... my pen was also attempting to die on me during the inking process so that was also pissing me off. But regardless tho I still really like this one

Stupid scan tho. I'm gonna get you, scanner. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow...but I will FINISH YOU! *Mortal Kombat music...*
