....(Seriously, tho, does anyone really even like Robin? XD Just a random thought.)
HOLY , BATMAN!
Yes, thats right. I got a chance to do a trade with THE . And I was like ZOMG! *fangirl scream*. Because it was just that exciting, and I was totally honoured to get the chance to do a trade with His Completely Awesomeness.
In our trade, I got to pick what character I wanted to draw, while I requested him to do Rageyness for me. .
And I just couldn't resist. I simply HAD to draw his character, Amal! Just...AH! First off, I love his name, and secondly, I just...GAH! I mean how can you resist him! That poofy blue hair and super fuzz that is his tail! So I just had to try my hand at him! He was really really fun to draw! I was flipping through some Vogues for some ideas. For some really strange reason, I find I draw better guy pictures when I use females for references. Seriously. It's really strange. I can't explain it. *Sigmund Freud analyzes my brain and comes up with some wierdo theory....until he realizes I don't have a brain! ZOMG WHERE DID IT GO!* But anyway, I found this picture and thought I'd use it for reference. So here is Amal, just hanging out in the fall time, brushing his hand all model like through his fluffy blue hair, only to realize that he somehow has stepped out of his background and is now floating around into nothingness. OH NOES!!
This picture also features my latest obsession....
*Smokey the Bear comes out and starts lecturing about forest fire prevention....*
But....but Smokey...that isn't a forest fire in the background. That's supposed to be trees. In the background....
*Smokey the Bear says only I can completely screw up trees so bad that they look like a forest fire that mated with jelly, but in his Only you can prevent forest fires voice...*
....Anyway. No, the latest obsession of mine this time is not fall time trees. Oh no.. it is something else.... it is....
SCARFS. Yes. Thats right. Scarfs. I'm obsessed with them lately. I keep drawing my characters wearing them and I don't know why. So, I decided to put Amal in a scarf, but not only a scarf, but a plaid scarf, which makes for lots of OMG! So yes, I had lots of fun putting him in a fally outfit. But of course, my crappy inking had to ruin my fall time outfit fun, because I screwed up inking his legs... I thought by colouring his pants black that would cover it up, but unfortunately my inking fail was at the top of his leg, therefore, where my shading is, and therefore, we can all still see my inking mistake.
As for the background. The picture I used for inspiration for this one had a really nice background with lots of trees in the background...So essentially, the idea behind this one is that he's one like this leveled thing and theres the city with trees behind him. Of course, I completely messed up my trees and should have added more...um...depth to them but adding some branches and stuff. So I used the last layer of trees there to sorta...make them more...tree like. And then theres a city scape in the background (unless, of course, it looks like the cast of the Wizard of Oz like it did the last time I tried to do a city scape.) I still like how this one came out, I just... um...should have done the trees better. And also, I know his hand in his hair looks..sorta wierd. That finger isn't supposed to be his thumb but it ended up looking thumb like... 0.0
I finished this one about two days after my wrist injury, so considering my hurtage, the final inking job doesn't look too bad XD I actually did the inking fail on his leg before colouring this pic. XD
But for some reason, this picture scanned in...really...grainy... and I don't know why. Perhaps it ate so much Bran Flakes that its now grainy? (HUR HUR HUR I'M WITTY!!!) So yeah... I don't really like the scan, as the original looks a lot better, and theres this weird line thing near his tail which I think is cat fur... That somehow got in my scanner. Perhaps our cat, KiKi, is diobolically scanning in copies of herself, so that she may create an army to steal all of our warms. OH NOES! So yeah, I might rescan this one in sometime.
Anyway, aside from all that, if you get the time, you MUST, AND I REPEAT, YOU MUST MUST MUST go visit 's gallery! His work is just so fun and playful and is just full of everything I love about anthro artwork!! He's uber talented and creative and COMPLETELY AWESOME AND YOU SHALL BOW DOWN BEFORE SIR ! BOW DOWN I SAY!!! *excitement flail* Now go! GODSPEED! TO THE GALLERY OF GREATNESS!!!
I hope you like this one, I just might have to draw him again!!
I agree it is just too hard no to want to draw Amal, he is really awesome, and your take on him is great too! I love scarfs too so it makes your pic even greater

I really wonder how they keep making Seedless grapes.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Sanders: So, have you ever been to a psychic?
Grissom: Would it surprise you if I had?
Sanders: Well, yeah.
Grissom: Surprise.
