Art Trade: Blane and Chantal

I got the super stupendous chance to get to do an art trade with the super stupendous ! I was all like OH HAI I'D LOVE TO DO A TRADE OH YAYYY!! and then was all like OH HAI JESS IMMA DO A TRADE WITH YOU!!

And so....WE DID A TRADE. AND IT WAS AWESOME.

For her half, she chose to do Taylor and Niko for me! YOU MUST GO SEE IT NOW BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T IMMA GONNA SEND OUT MY SECRET SOCIETY OF KITTEHS TO COME AND MAKE YOU GO! Go! NOW! NOW NOW NOW!! [link]

For my half, she had asked me to draw her characters, Blane and Chantal for her! They have a similar relationship to Niko and Taylor, where he likes her but she doesn't know sorta thing, and I just love those types of relationships yee hee!! I was more than happy to draw these two for her! I instantly fell in love with them and, I must say, I couldn't WAIT to get my hands on Chantel! OH GAWD I LOVED HER! She's such a pretty character! Again, this was a lot of fun to do because I was able to draw a coupley picture, and as you all know (or perhaps don't know, but I'll pretend you know ) I'm really wanting to draw more multiple characters/characters interacting with each other pictures. Honestly, I really wanted to have them actually... I dunno...doing something. I really did want them maybe, I dunno, walking or something, but... when I drew this, I really liked how it came out, but I was really annoyed that they weren't in some kind of setting. Since I liked it, tho, I decided to finish it....So....HERE THEY ARE!

This was a lot of fun to do because Blane is supposed to be shorter than Chantal, and I love drawing tall girls. And look!! I gots to draw humans again! I was kinda wanting to give Blane a cute/shy kinda expression. Dunno if I succeeded.. .I probably should have made him blushing or something. I really enjoyed drawing him! I JUST WUV HIS NOSE! Again, if you didn't know, I really have a thing for noses so.. I really like unique nose types and stuff on characters.

AND EEEEE CHANTAL! I loved drawing her! I totally fell in love with her when I first saw her and was all like YEEEEE!!! I really like how she came out here, she was just super fun to draw! I'm not too sure if she, or Blane for that matter, would wear the outfits that they are wearing here tho XD I read that couldn't really picture Chantal wearing blue in one of her descriptions, so I thought I'd put her in some bright colours. I usually always draw characters wearing blue jeans so the green pants were fun to do! I'm not particularly sure if Chantal would wear earrings like she is in this drawing... I saw some feather earrings in a store a while back and felt compelled to draw a character with some XD I did, however, make those blue, with black tips - you probably can't see the black tips too much XD I just...really like blue feathers so...yes. That is why they are blue.

I had fun drawing that bag.... It was a bit of a challenge in a way because it's supposed to be on a bit of a different angle. She's supposed to be holding the bottom and its kinda like, scrunched and stuff.. I dunno if I succeeded or failed XD I was looking at a picture of Emma Watson and some random guy, and Emma was holding a bag in that way and I really liked all the folds and stuff and whatnot.

For the background, I thought of just making a colour blob, instead of colouring the whole background like I have been doing for a lot of my recent pics. I was thinking of outlining the background, but I kinda liked how it was just how it turned out. I used quite a few different colours there altho the blue and the pinky colours were the only ones that came out...

But then again, that could just be the result of my jackass scanner not scanning things in properly. Speaking of scanner, the scan of this is actually not that bad compared to, well, the many scans you will see in the near future. I dunno if it's just cuz I'm looking at it on my laptop and for some reason my pictures look different on my laptop (perhaps my scanner and my laptop are in cahoots?) Chantels pants scanned in....kinda dull and stuff. Actually they both scanned in really dull compared to the original. But again, its not as terrible of a scan as you will experience.....*shakes fist at scanner*

Now that I'm done babbling, you NEED TO GO TO 's gallery. YOU NEED TO. Her art is just so pretty, its so colourful and she has wonderful characters, and a really unique, awesome style. Bottom line, she's AWESOME AND YOU NEED TO VISIT BECAUSE OMG FOR SERIOUSLY GO NOW GO NOW GO NOOOOWWW!! *flails about*
