Lets All Hangout Awkwardly

You know, the massive SHIT my scanner took all over this picture.

But then again, you can see all kinds of shit if you browse my gallery. I might just have to give up and succumb to my scanner, guys, and just realize that I will never produce a half decent scan. I really should just resort to like, taking pictures of my pictures or something. But then again, I'm sure that would turn out....Yeah. Lets just not go there.

Anyway. As you may or may not know, or you may know already but don't really a flying turd, I've been trying to make my pictures slightly more exciting. And one of the ways I've done this was by drawing more group pictures. Group pictures can be equally boring, I realize, but for me drawing one it's a bit of an accomplishment. I mean, I think it's safe to say, if you go through my gallery, the pictures I drew about a year ago are FAR more shitty and boring then my recent stuff. OH YAY, JESS IMPROVES!

Anyway. I love drawing best friends together. Because my best friend characters are just as awkward as my characters who aren't necessarily best friends. I love awkwardness and my characters. It makes me smile when my characters have to deal with their awkward little situations. Anyway, for whatever reason, I decided to draw Alex, Rage, Ricky and Amy together. On the surface, it's really not that awkward. But if you look deeper, it's actually kinda awkward.

Lets see. Alex thinks Rage is super hot and wouldn't mind having him as her personal sex slave for eternity. Amy, meanwhile, her best friend, is Rage's ex girlfriend, but Amy is still madly in love with Rage. Ricky, meanwhile, is sleeping with Amy, and actually has more then just friends feelings for her, but deep down knows nothing will come out of it. He think that Rage might actually still kinda like Amy (at the beginning of my stories - you know, those stories I'm working on ever so diligently /sarcasm - Rage and Amy only broke up a short while ago, so you know. It's in one of those stages where Rage still feels sorry for himself and thinks he'll be single forever because Amy was the only girl in the world. LOL EMO RAGE.). And well, we all know that Clarice basically has claimed Ricky's penis for herself, and Amy sleeping with her friend Clarices man is just a no no, especially behind everyone's back. See, really, Alex is pretty harmless in this situation. She really wouldn't ever hurt Amy, and thinks it's actually more fun oogling Rage from afar (or up close....), but Ricky probably should have kept his pants on (How DARE I suggest such a thing!). I suppose if my characters had better communication these situations wouldn't be that complicated. But then again, I'm sure if you asked your best friend if you could sleep with their ex that they just broke up with, well...yeah.

Anyway. So here they are. Being somewhat awkward. Alex groping on Rage again, Rage not really understanding whats going on but also feeling REALLY AWKWARD around Amy and totally doesn't want to be there, Amy looking up at Rage hoping that Rage will magically fall in love with her again and marry her, and Ricky completely ignoring that Rage is even in the picture and just goin' in for the goods anyway. Amy's boobs once again distracted him. For the record, in case you don't remember, Rage is oblivious (like he usually is. He can be such a dumb blonde sometimes.) to Ricky and Amy screwin' around behind everyones back. He's just happy that his bro's liked his girlfriend and stuff. (I guess his friends like her a little too much....WHOOPS PENIS SLIPPED INTO HER VAGINA! Eh hem.)

Anyway. So here they are. Just something fun and goofy I felt like doing. This is kinda a new picture, Ricky was kinda odd to draw YET AGAIN, and I had to kinda just squish him in there. He's suppose to be bending down-ish, and Amy is supposed to be also bending down-ish. I dunno if it's because of the weight of Ricky or what, or maybe she thinks she can get a better view of Rage from that angle. She probably should ask Alex what the best views of Rage are and from what angles - Alex is actually the expert on that. I guess Ricky kinda looks like he's looking more so at Alex, which maybe is the case, because she is distracting Rage, and therefore Ricky can somehow get Amy's clothes off without Rage knowing. Alex is still trying to think of ways to get Rage's clothes off in this situation. I'm sure she will succeed. XD (Because, you know , just yanking them off of him usually works.)

Now, you've probably by now have seen the shitacularness of the scan. Seriously, this scan is really brutal. I know I really don't have to say this in my descriptions, but I just want to make sure that YOU ALL KNOW that the scans of my drawings are just TERRIBLE. What the hell did it do to Ricky? I mean, it never scans Ricky in properly EVER, but this time it decided to be a PROPER ASS, and just scan him in however the hell it wanted to. Not cool, scanner. Not cool. The only one who scan in...okay...is Alex, but even then she looks like a pile of dog crap. Steaming, smelly dog crap. AGAIN WITH THE GRAINYNESS, SCANNER. I have no idea where my scanner got this obsession to scan my pictures really grainy from. This is something that it just started about 4 months ago or so. I just can't wait to see what it's new "thing" will be. But at the same time, I also DON'T want to see what it's new "thing" will be. Because... I'm scared. And you should be too. So yes, please ignore the scan once again. It's terrible. The inking did NOT show up on their faces at all on the scan. I hate you scanner. You are a terrible being that should just go rot in your own misery. Can't even do something nice for me during the Christmas season.

The background was done with my usual watercolours. Nothing fantastic, and maybe one day I'll actually draw things in my backgrounds. But seriously tho, whenever I draw pictures like this, I just can't imagine a proper background "working" with it because I never had a scene in mind. Whenever I draw real backgrounds, I like to have my characters interacting with it or something. Does that make any sense?

Anyway. I actually really like the background here. I like how the colours in it don't clash with my characters. It's about freakin' time. I often wonder how all this will turn out in the end. I can't decide if FRIENDSHIP ZOMG WILL PREVAIL! and everything will be fine, or Clarice and Amy will become mortal enemies and will slander Ricky and Amy in every way possible and will come up with new words for "slut". Clarice can be very creative, you know. I really want them all to be mature about it in the end, but...yeah.

Probably doesn't help that I, like, totally love shippin' Amy and Ricky together. TEE HEE!

Anyway. So just a fun little group picture. Nothing particularly exciting, just something cute I felt like doing! Awkward friendships are adorable, aren't they?
