Nice Vest You Got Thar

It's WAY too much fun playing with characters and the relationships they have with each other.

I'd like to assume that, with his beautiful blonde locks and yummy German accent and, you know, the fact that he's German (which is just sex regardless.), Melanie wants a piece of Niko's bratwurst.

(Seriously tho, I just love the German accent )

He's actually quite a wonderful catch - you know, he's like Mr Domestic. He knows how to cook, he actually somewhat enjoys cleaning...He likes to whip up some German dishes for his ladies of the house. (Seriously tho, German food is so delicious. OM. NOM. NOM.)... So......Melanie and Niko just MIGHT just have some feelings for one another that aren't being acted on....

But Imma not tellin'.

Anyway. I just kinda drew these two together one day and thought they looked pretty cute together. This really wasn't supposed to be a shipper picture, really. Just...um..Melanie helping Niko get dressed or something. "Canadian's always help their male friends get dressed, Niko." she tells Niko, or something. Niko likes this Canadian custom.

(No, its not customary in Canada for girls to dress up their male friends in the morning, just incase you thought it was. XD Melanie is just lying so she can touch Niko. She also likes to pretend its customary to bathe their male friends as well in Canada. Silly Melanie.)

Anyway, so here Melanie is, just, I dunno, straightening Niko's vest or something. Probably feeling him up. Poor Niko. Girls always want to touch him. I'm sure he doesn't mind!

I suppose I should have not been such a lazy ass and finished their bodies, but I...well I was just a lazy ass. I suppose I could have just cut off the picture when I scanned it in, but whatever. I don't think of these things.

Gosh. Niko's hair looks EXTRA PERFECT today. (Which is probably too much perfection to handle.) I'm sure Melanie is being creepy and secretly sniffing his hairs perfection. I'd love to know what shampoo he uses to get it so volumey.

Anyway, I really like how this one came out, altho, I think Melanie's arm is... like too short or something. I dunno. Just looks kinda off. Yet again I should just resort to drawing my characters with tenticles. It would just make my art life so much easier.

Anyway, so I just felt like drawing these two together. They're really good friends - Melanie tells Niko all her problems, and Niko listens... Niko's studying psychology, see, so Niko always asks her open ended questions all the time and clears things up for her. (Of course, sometimes she doesn't like the answers he gives her, like, you know, when he tells her she's in love with Mac - )

Melanie:

But hey, we'll see where their friendship will take them - my characters are kinda creepy and the relationships just kinda...form themselves. BECAUSE DAMMIT, MY CHARACTERS ARE REAAALLLL!!! *flails about*

Anyway, the background was done with watercolour pencils - I don't particularly like it all that much, because I was actually going to do something slightly more elaborate for the background, like, you know, A SCENE AND STUFF, but...well... yeah that idea went in the shitter. I dunno, the colours didn't blend well, or something.

I'm happy with how Niko came out. I remember when I first created him I couldn't draw him to save my life... but he seems to turn out all the time now. ITS THE POWER OF HIS PHENOMINAL HAIR. It truly is magical.

Poor Niko. Will he ever find someone who will love him for him and not his hair? *sigh*

Again, this was drawn when I was still fiddling around with my style... Niko's nose should be bigger, altho Melanie's looks pretty alright. I actually spend a lot of time drawing my characters noses and critiquing how I drew them. I don't know why I'm so fixated on noses.

Perhaps because I'm a nosy person.

*gets slapped really hard for the crappy ass joke.*

Anyway, just incase you are all confused, yes, Niko does like Taylor, but you know, he's not going to wait around for her to fall in love with him (because, in his opinion, who knows if that would actually happen or not.). I'm sure we all want them to fall in love AND MAKE BABIES THAT HAVE UTTERLY GORGEOUS HAIR, but....anyway. Niko's kinda a refreshing character that way. He's not all OH BOO HOO SHE DOESN'T LOVE ME! ... He finds it really annoying that she sees him just as a friend, but hey, theres some Mellie Jelly to be had.

D'aww. Poor Mac tho. But then again, Mac does have some pretty awesome hair too so....

*insert Mortal Kombat music as Niko and Mac duke it out over Melanies affections *

Anyhoo. So here they are. Just Melanie straightenin' out Niko's clothes, for whatever reason. Oh whatever, you'd be straightening out Nikos clothes too if you had the chance. No one can resist The One With The Magnificent Hair.
