Random Situation is Random

AH MAH GAWD I seriously need to stop being a lazy ass at posting my drawings.

OLD DRAWING IS OLD.

But the good thing is that this drawing hasn't gotten fugly over the last while, like a lot of my older drawings do. And it was still kinda cute so I thought, meh, why not post it?

(BECAUSE WE TOTALLY SEE SOME MAC-A-MELAGE OH HO HO YES WE DO - but I'll get to that later. )

Melanie: I SEE NOTHING.

Then maybe you should open your eyes then, Melanie. *pries open Melanies eyes but she swats me with a potato.*

*Seriously, why do my characters always beat me up with potatoes? Where the hell are they getting them from?*

So anyway, I wanted to practice group pictures sometime last year, because last year I was all about practicing group pictures (this year it seems to be practicing backgrounds. I has productive.), so I decided to just take random characters and put them in a group picture together. I didn't have anything in mind particularly when I drew the picture, I never really do, I just picked some characters and drew them interacting with each other.

SO, here we have, from left to right, Melanie, Mac, Ricky, Clarice and Rage. I guess in the end, I decided that Clarice was yelling at Ricky (surprise surprise. ) because Ricky is paying more attention to whoever he's talking to on his cellphone (yes, thats supposed to be a cellphone in his hand.), who I'm sure is his mom or something, while Rage is kinda annoyed because he and his brah's were going to toss a football around (yes, that thing on Rage's shoulder is supposed to be a football.) and then we have Mac and Melanie who...for whatever reason, are looking at each other grinning.

OH GAWSH WHAT ARE THEY UP TO? I'M PRETTY SURE WE ALL HAVE IDEAS.

I think initially they were supposed to be just laughing at Clarice and Ricky because Clarice and Ricky are a really annoying couple and fight all the time, but then they just had this subtle naughtiness going on OH GAWSH.

Melanie: Quit making shit up all the time.

*everyone ignores Melanie* It's almost like Melanie is all like HEY REMEMBER LAST NIGHT?? and then Mac is all like HELLLLL YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! or something. *dodges potatoes that are thrown at her from Melanie's direction* I dunno. They just ended up that way, and they are pretty adorable. SUBTLE MAC-A-MELAGE IS THE BEST.

I guess I was also working on like, character sizes and things. I actually was somewhat successful with this one. Rage is the tallest, then Mac, than Ricky, than Melanie, and then Clarice. I don't know why Rage doesn't just do his bro a favour and pick up Clarice and throw her to the next continent because seriously Clarice is an ant next to Rage. XD She probably weighs like 20 pounds to him. XD Anyway, I drew this back when I was still figuring out how I wanted to draw Ricky so he looks pretty derpy here, I dunno he just looks...really dumb or something. And he's all squished beside Mac for some reason, like I used Mac to cover up all my Ricky fails or something. I actually think Mac looks pretty crappy here too, his head is too small, but I dunno, I think everything came out fine in the end. I think Rage looks cute but his football (again, that stupid brown thing on his shoulder) looks..Well lets just say that if I didn't mention it was a football, you probably wouldn't quite know what it was, other than it being a Jess Fail (very much like Ricky's cellphone!) Speaking of Ricky's cellphone, I think I intended for it to be a Blackberry like the one I have but, well, yeah. Jess Fails are Super Fails. Anyhoo.

If I remember correctly, because this was done a while back, I think I did the background with watercolours. Just random colours all bunched up together. I honestly can't decide if I like the background or not. I tried to choose colours that I thought would blend well together, but it looks like my thoughts also fail, because they clearly didn't blend well together.

Do I really need to go over the scan? Seriously. It's all blurry, especially around Ricky (which is actually kinda okay because he looks super derpy anyway.) but, you know, considering the shittyness of the scan, this isn't as bad as most of my scans recently. Evidently, my scanner has gotten completely TERRIBLE over the years. GROSS.

I love how Melanie has her sexual desires written all over her face. She doesn't even try to hide it anymore. It's blatantly obvious here. OH, SHE'S SO CUTE. SHE WANTS HIM SO BAD BUT SHE KEEPS ON REJECTING HIM.

*yet more potatoes are flung at me via a catapult*

Anyhoo, nothing particularly awesome, just something I doodled a long while back last year just to practice on group pictures. Perhaps Ricky will take Clarice and just put her in a little box or something somewhere.....
