Ricky And Clarices Winter Adventure

Welp, it's still winter, so I thought I'd post up some of my drawings that are, you know, wintery and stuff instead of waiting for ages to post them like I usually do. So you know, I can be in season and stuff. YAY! 2013 IS THE YEAR OF PROGRESS.

For those of you who have been browsing or looking at my gallery for a long time, you probably notice that I enjoy drawing couples. But heres the thing with that. I enjoy drawing...couples...that are not canon. Or atleast aren't canon yet.

*looks over at Mac and Mel*

...I never said anything. ANYWAY. But at the same time, it's kinda fun to draw canon couples too, I guess. But I just feel so much more naughty drawing characters that aren't together I guess. Anyhoo, to be honest, I really don't even have any canon couples really anyway. My only ones are Clarice and Ricky (if you can even call them that.) and Trekker and my sister 's Ratfink. And.. .like that's totally it. Or at least, those are the only ones that we know of right now, because any other relationships... well I don't want to spoil anything.

(Because you're going to put those in that comic you are doing, right Jess? That one that you've been working on really hard? For like, 5 years or so? The one that - )

Anyway, so I thought I'd draw a picture of Clarice and Ricky together, since I really only drew one. Well, I've drawn them together, but only one other one where they actually somewhat look like they love each other. It does happen, just so you know, but *Ricky grabs keyboard from me* Clarice is always PMSing and bitching all the !#$!$!$#$! time - GO AWAY RICKY *slaps Ricky* - but Clarice and Ricky just don't get along that much these days. XD They're adorable tho.

Over the last couple of months, I've been totally orgasming (TMI, I know.) over drawing winter scenes. I think people need to like winter more, because it really is quite beautiful. I mean, seriously, just Google search pictures of "winter" and you'll fall in love with it too! There was nothing more I loved in the mornings when I used to walk to work at my old job... There was a long winding road up into the building, full of trees... In the winter, the empty tree branches would be covered with snow, sorta like this : [link] and it was just BEAUTIFUL. And seriously, just cover up and make sure you dress properly for the weather, and trust me, it's really not that bad! (I'm sorry, but nothing irritates me more then people who walk around in the winter, wearing nothing but sweaters for "jackets" and then bitching about how cold they are. SERIOUSLY? NO, SERIOUSLY? Anyway. Enough of that.

So I've been drawing quite a few pictures of characters in the winter. I like winter scenery a lot, so this gives me a chance to work on backgrounds as well too! Which I've been having a lot of fun with as well. Soooooo... my victims this time were...Clarice and Ricky! When they are happy! Ricky probably hasn't said anything yet, because if he does, Clarice is usually inclined to yell at him because or something, and Clarice must be done her period. Ricky, get away from my keyboard. *swats Ricky again* Anyway, so here they are... just... um...Yeah, hanging out outside, in the winter time. It's actually a pretty simple, and small picture, and didn't take me that long to do, but I still like how it came out regardless. Lots of practice was going on with this one, just working on noses and stuff as per usual. Hmm. It appears Ricky is one of those people who is WEARING JUST A SWEATER IN THE WINTER. HE BETTER NOT SAY HE'S COLD, BOY HOWDY.

He probably won't, because he has super huge muscles and stuff and it keeps him warm. *swats Ricky away from the keyboard again* SERIOUSLY go away! ANYWAY. I dunno, maybe it's just not that cold out today. Ricky actually has a VERY low cold tolerance, since he's from Spain and from what I see it doesn't get terribly cold there (I actually went to the WeatherNetwork.com just now to check. XD) and he actually really doesn't like the winter but I guess living in Canada for a few years, he's somewhat climatized. But I guess Clarice is keeping him warm in the meantime. And if not, he'll probably just suggest having secks to warm up. Altho it might get cold if they do that but....Maybe theres a cabin or something nearby. XD Anyway. Enough of that.

So here they are! Just something pretty simple, nothing fancy, but I like how it came out! Clarice looks really cute! Altho Clarice is quite short, and Ricky in comparison is quite tall so I dunno if she's like, piggy backing or what. Or maybe they are sitting. I honestly imagine that they are sitting down but who knows. Just be happy they aren't bitching at each other!

Anyway, the background really isn't that exciting, but I like it anyway. Kinda reminds me of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. I almost half expect a snowman voiced by Bing Crosby (right? That's who voiced him right?) waddling out and then squirrels throwing *sings* siiiiilllllllvvverrr and goooolllddd! on the trees. I'm still in a bit of a Christmasy mood I like the background enough I suppose. I wish the snow on the trees didn't look like blobs of...um...white...stuff....-

Dammit why do all the white things I draw in pictures always have to look like blobs of semen? SRSLY.

Anyway. It's snow. Nothing else. I swear. The one tree on Ricky's side, the main one, like the biggest one thar, looks...really odd. It looks all tilted. I just realized that now. I drew the trunk too off center. Here's hoping it won't topple over, because we all know, somehow, someway, Clarice will blame it on Ricky and say that he "ruined nature" even tho he never touched the damn thing. OH YOU TWO.

And as per usual, the scan is pretty terrible. This picture actually looks less gross on my laptop (which is wierd, because usually pictures of my laptop look grosser than pictures that aren't on my laptop....), but honestly it's only gross because my scanner is just full of gross. My scanner fails to scan in Ricky right, and they look really grainy because my scanner has this annoying thing where it likes to, you know, be a douchebag. NYUGH. So yet again, please ignore the scan, it's terrible, but you guys knew that already, didn't you? There really should be a club on DA for people who hate my scanner. I seriously can't be the only one. XD

ANYHOO, my only other complaint is the fact that Clarice kinda blends in a little bit to the picture because of her jacket. See, Clarice HAS to wear green, so I gave her a green jacket. So I dunno, I just think it blends in to much to the rest of the picture, but I guess it's still okay. It really doesn't bother me that much. I'm just used to having so many colours in my pictures that sometimes when I'm doing scenery pictures, I have to remember that theres probably not going to be mountains upon mountains of colours in the background like with my random shape backgrounds and random watercolour shitfest backgrounds. XD

So yes, I like how this came out. That tree is really annoying me right now, but I still like how the overall picture came out. One day, perhaps, my scanner will scan Ricky in not grosslike. Ricky never did anything to my scanner, really he didn't. Unless, like, my scanner is sleeping with Amy and/or Clarice and like, he's jealous of Ricky or something.

OHMAHGAWD I THINK I'VE FIGURED IT OUT. Now, how, exactly, my scanner sleeps with Amy and/or Clarice, well....We're not too sure. In fact, I actually don't even want to know how one can sleep with Scanner (or WHY ANYONE WOULD WANT TO.) but...Anyway. MOVING ON NAO.

So yes, just Clarice and Ricky being happy. They're really cute, too bad they just can't get along. But if Ricky would just AGREE with Clarice all the time, perhaps they wouldn't have problems........
