Roxanne From A Goofy Movie

So there I was at work one day, and for some reason we got into a topic about A Goofy Movie...

And suddenly, I had flashbacks of ALL. SORTS. OF. AWESOME.

Yes, you see, this Disney movie was just...completely awesome. I know that many of you have probably given up on Disney, but I urge all of you who haven't seen A Goofy Movie or some of the other animated features to watch A Goofy Movie and all of thier awesome classics. It might just restore your faith. Or atleast give you high hopes that maybe they will come up with something half decent. Eventually.

Anyway. When I was younger, I remember being completely obsessed with A Goofy Movie. I dunno why, but it was a really fun spin on the tv series Goof Troop, where Max was like 16 years old and in high school and was epically embarrassed by his dad, who was Goofy (LOL Don't you just love how Disney recycles all thier characters?? XD Well, as long as they recycle the good ones. And not the monstrosities from, like, Beverly Hills Chihuahua or something.). So anyway, in the movie he had a crush on this girl named Roxanne and a cheese eating best friend (LOL voiced by Pauly Shore XD). I'm so sure that I had a crush on Max when I was a kid. XD

So I felt inspired to do a rendition of Roxanne, because she has super epic GIGANTO hair of POOFY WONDERMENT, and she's just all sweet and things.

So here is my end result....

First things first, you must realize that I drew this two days after I fell and busted by left wrist, so considering my hand was in pain but I was stubborn and didn't want to not draw, this turned out fairly decent. However, the anatomy is COMPLETELY SHIT and I ruined it really really bad.

First, Roxanne was supposed to be facing somewhat forward doing one of my classic, boring OMG IMMA MODEEELLLL!!! poses, but I screwed up her thigh on the right of this picture, so now I can't decide if it looks like she has serious leg disfigurements, or shes holding in her pee or something. Secondly, her arms are all messed up, and I'm sure they are either too small, or too long, or one is small and one is too large. So please. Ignore the anatomy on this one. PLEASE IGNORE IT. It is really, really, really bad.

Secondly, the colouring. Everything with the colouring is fine, except for the....the...HORRID mess I made of her shirt. Okay, see, I was trying to find a darker blue to shade her aqua-ee shirt. So for some stupid reason, I chose a really really really really dark navy blue, and thought that it would make a good "counter colour" (LOLWUT???). I always test these things first on a sheet of paper, and I swear that when I was testing it, it looked much better in the small little space I used. Not so good on the large space of her shirt. Not so good AT ALL.First off, the dark blue was a Crayola pencil, and the aqua was a Laurentien pencil, and for some reason, I think its because of thier leads, but different brands don't blend as good together as, say, same brands. So... yes. Please also, ignore the colouring on her shirt. Please.

On another note,I really have no idea what kinda animal Goofy and friends are supposed to be. I guess they're dog things or something. Roxanne didn't have obvious ears like Max or Goofy does, so I...sorta... just added in.. little...Vulcan ears. I figure she'd probably be a dog thing too, so mebbe she's... a...Vulcan...terrier...or something.

For the background, I just did my usual colour blob with watercolour pencils, and added a lot of fun excitment times with markers, and drew horizontal lines...or...wait no.. .diagonal (OKAY SERIOUSLY. I TRIED TO SPELL THAT WORD LIKE FIVE BAJILLION TIMES BUT MY MAC AUTO SPELLING CHECK THING KEEPS SAYING ITS WRONG. XD) lines... Which sorta look corny, but they're okay.

So all in all, this picture really isn't that good at all, but I still somewhat like it. I like her poofy hair good times. And her face too. But really, all the rest could probably just go to Hell. XD I'll draw her again so that way she looks normal and not freak-like. And I'll also make sure she goes to the bathroom before hand, as well too.

She was fun to draw anyway tho I seriously want to watch that movie again, but I don't have it and its like the most impossible movie to find to buy EVER.
