Snow Angels

It seems like everytime I come to DA, something new happened. I would like to think that DA likes to think that these improvements are awesome.

Today, I come to DA and notice that my upload thinger has moved to the center of my screen, instead of off to the side like I'm used to.

Because I'm neurotic, this absolutely drives me crazy, and thus I feel like screaming and wish that somehow, I could cut, copy, and paste the upload thing back to the side like I'm used to. Unfortunately, the internetz doesn't work like Photoshop.

And if it did, I still wouldn't know how to cut, copy, and paste because I don't know how to do that in Photoshop. DURRRRR.

I realize that above blurb really has no significance to todays installment of Jessfails, but you see, sometimes, I just have to get things out or else I'll explode.

Hurr. That's what she said.

Anyway.

So, I decided that I had better finish posting the pictures that I drew that were winter related, before the snow starts to melt and we are all ripping our hair out from the heat of the summer. Usually, I'm more prone to, you know, waiting for a few thousand months before posting my artwork, but I thought, just for once, that I would not fail and actually do something that makes sense. Just this one time tho. I don't want you guys to think that, you know, I changed or something.

So anyway, I really like drawing winter pictures. I dunno why. Theres just something so much more exciting about it -

(More then likely because you get to fill your picture with snow, and that means you don't have to colour as much, because you are a lazy pile.)

I think winter is one of those under appreciated seasons. Everything is so pretty in winter. I love the way the snow falls on the trees. I especially love the way that assholes drive faster in the winter because they think if they drive faster, they will not slip and run people over with their cars. I also love how the sidewalks are never plowed for a week after a major snow fall. Ahhh. So charming.

No, seriously, I really do like winter. Probably because I'm Canadian. And Canadian's play in the snow. WHEE! So anyway, I thought I would just, you know, draw something wintery. I think I intended this one to be a Christmas picture, or atleast seem like a Christmasy picture, just in case I didn't have a Christmas picture ready for Christmas. /Jess being lame.

So her we have Melanie and Clarice, BEST FRIENDS LIKE OMG! , and they are hanging out in the snow. I guess they are too cool or something to wear jackets. I love those assholes who, in winter, come from outside after wearing only a sweater and go, "OMG IT'S SO COLD OUT!!". No, really, douchebag? Anyway. I dunno, I just really wanted something fashiony, and didn't really want to put them in jackets. They're probably just in a photography studio anyway with a fake background. XD I got the idea from a Sears catalogue, so I thought I'd just roll with it. (They see me rollin, they hatin......) So here they are.

This reminds me of Rudolph. Seriously. Aren't you just expecting a snowman to slide around voiced by Bing Crosby and start singing Silver and Gold? Or, I dunno, like stop-motion versions of Mac and Ricky about to pimp or something?

LOL THAT WOULD BE EXCELLENT.

Anyway, I like how this one came out, altho the inking is especially disgusting this time around (I was hoping no one would notice, but I really do hate the inking.), and once again I amaze you all with my bendy, not straight at all and makes everything look sideways borders. I SWEAR for seriously that when I was finishing this picture, the border did not look that bad. I seriously don't understand it.

I know the snow on the trees looks, once again, semen-like. I really don't know how to NOT make snow on trees look semen like. If someone knows how, please, feel free to let me know. Until that day comes ,tho (LOL COMES. /immaturity.), you'll all have to deal with my snow looking like semen splashed all over the world.

I know. A really gross visual. I just didn't know how else to describe it. XD

Melanie is supposed to be wearing a pair of those UGG boots, however, they actually look like stumps on her feet. I couldn't figure out how to draw it facing forward so I gave her stumpies. It's okay, Mel. Be happy. You can use those to further stomp all over Macs heart and break it.

I think Clarice looks cute, she's all smiley! I clearly remember messing up her face tho when I was inking this one.

Now, you might all be looking at this picture, and thinking, GOSH THIS LOOKS LIKE CRAP, JESS. No, ACTUALLY, that would be the SCAN that looks like crap. Once again, my scanner had no idea what it was doing, and followed suit with it's New Years Resolution of ruining everything it touches. The inking looks WORSE (why all the white-ish things??? Seriously!) and look! It looks like it even put a special New Years Hair in there that it scanned into the picture (to your left, you'll find it eventually.) Oh! And of course, just as dull - if not more dull - like all my other pictures!!! THANKS SCANNER IT LOOKS AWESOME.

SERIOUSLY.

So once again, pretend that my scanner actually scanned this beautifully, and that you are all mesmerized by it's awesomeness. I know it's really hard to do so, but if we all pretend we can make it happen. Seriously. I live my whole life in a fantasy land thanks to my scanner.

Why does black scan in so crappily? This is a new thing my scanner does, actually. I don't quite recall it scanning in black so bad before.

I hate you scanner. I hate you so much.

Anyway. So just something fun I thought I'd do with a winter setting. I know, the title is really lame, but whatever. Just pretend they made snow angels somewhere. Or snow cats. Or something.

So yes, just fun winter stuff! We all love snow!

(You know whats really comical? Remember when you were a kid, you used to LOVE snow? But now that you're older, and have to shovel it/brush it off your car/attempt to drive to work/etc. etc.... you absolutely HATE it? I just find that really, I dunno, interesting?)
