Warrior Griffin Girl

...This...picture...took...me...FOREVER...to finish. In fact, it took me so long that my hand actually HURT after I stopped it for a bit. So much colouring... so much inking... It's not even funny how incredibly ANAL I was about this one.. making sure that everything was perfect and making sure that everything was coloured right...

But alas, I love the results! See, I'm basically not allowed to buy my boyfriend anything for our 1yr anniversary... because..well I'm in debt. So, luckily I'm somewhat talented and I'm able to think of other things to do for mein precious German boy. So thus, I decided to do for him a series of drawings along with other miscellaneous things that I'm tossing around in my head (Just watch. He'll probably outgift me and like, get me Rammstein or something.) Anyway. I drew this one about two or three months back at work on a Saturday, and he was watching me draw it. He liked it, and at first I was going to sell her... But I didn't have the heart to when he said he liked it. And we ALL know that I cannot say no to German boys.

So I decided to finish it for him and surprise him! I did this over the course of about three or four days. Ideally I could have finished her all in one day but I didn't want to sit there for five or six hours straight doing one thing. I don't know why it took me so long, I think just because I was being anal and making sure that I had the colouring perfect and stuff. I guess she's supposed to be a griffin or something.

I think birds are really cool and the idea of a griffin just amazes me... I LOVE the mane of feathers for hair I didn't want to make her feathers all brown like her body, so I came up with that idea to make them all fire like. I don't think initially I was going to do a background...But it needed one so thus that one came about! Just mountains but its still pretty cool, I think So anyway, she's now done. I really like how this one came out, so the five bajillion hours taken on this one are well worth it. I resigned the back because the colouring kinda hid the signiture. And the sword isn't half bad, either!

The only thing I don't like about this one is just her arm (not the one holding her sword, the other one.) is too short... But she's still cool I like this one a lot
